Writer's Guidelines
Submit your songs online through Sonicbids! If you are not yet a Sonicbids member and want to submit online,
visit the Sonicbids web site and sign-up for the Sonicbids
Combo Package (includes your submission AND a discounted Sonicbids membership). If you are already a Sonicbids member,
log in to your Sonicbids account and visit the Promoter Drop Box to submit. Sonicbids is the standard way for music
industry professionals to send and receive press kits online.
Piano Press is currently considering submissions of children's songs, holiday songs, and piano instrumentals for our
piano songbooks and CD projects. Children's and/or holiday songs and piano instrumentals may be submitted on a CD or
a cassette tape. Please include accompanying lyric sheets and lead sheets or piano scores if available. Please do not
send MP3s or web links.
Piano Press is also considering submissions of short stories and essays ON MUSIC-RELATED TOPICS ONLY. Short stories
and essays should be no longer than five double-spaced, typewritten pages. Please note, all music-related poems must
be entered in The Art of Music Annual Writing Contest to be considered for our anthology.
Piano Press publishes The Art of Music - A Collection of Writings, an anthology of music-related poems and writings.
Submissions placing first, second, or third in The Art of Music Annual Writing Contest and the top scoring entries will be included in the next edition.

Illustrators may submit samples of their work and contact information for our files. Please do not send samples,
postcards, etc., more than once as we already have you on file.
Please do not send any non-music related short stories or essays, or songs other than children's or holiday songs or
piano instrumentals.
Please include a SASE with sufficient postage for return of your materials (if you want them returned) and/or our
reply.
